Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a specialty and emergency hospital in Sunset, Utah, seeking a Medical Director to lead their team. The facility offers 24/7 emergency services and specialty care in cardiology, critical care, radiology, and surgery. Established in 2020, the hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art technology to support exceptional patient care.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Medical Director will work closely with the Hospital Director to oversee hospital operations, including scheduling and departmental meetings. Specific hours will be determined in collaboration with the leadership team.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will lead the Medical Services teams, including hiring, onboarding, and performance management of doctors. Responsibilities also include managing department workflows, ensuring efficient and compassionate patient care, and collaborating with the Hospital Director on financial and operational strategies. The role involves fostering a culture of continuous improvement and supporting the development of engaged and empowered caregivers.

Practice Details
The hospital is a 15,000-square-foot facility equipped with digital radiology, point-of-care ultrasound, CT, fluoroscopy, endoscopy, high-flow oxygen, in-house lab equipment, and telemetry. The facility provides comprehensive emergency and specialty care services to pets in the Northern Utah area.

Team
The leadership team includes a Medical Director and a Hospital Director, working together to lead the hospital’s operations and clinical services. The hospital is staffed with a dedicated team of doctors, technicians, and support staff committed to delivering high-quality patient care.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
