Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a veterinary hospital providing comprehensive small animal care and is currently seeking a Lead Veterinarian. The role offers a unique blend of clinical practice and leadership, ideal for a veterinarian ready to step into a role with both medical and managerial responsibilities.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Tuesday through Saturday with the following hours: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm (Wednesday until 6:00pm), and alternating Fridays until 6:00pm and Saturdays from 8:00am to 1:00pm. The clinic is closed on Sundays. The team is open to discussing both full-time and part-time opportunities to suit your preferred schedule.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Lead Veterinarian will split their time between clinical responsibilities and leadership duties, dedicating approximately 80% to veterinary practice and 20% to leadership tasks. Clinical responsibilities cover all typical GP services, including surgery, wellness care, and dentistry. The position provides full autonomy to practice medicine while supporting the hospital’s mission to empower veterinarians and deliver exceptional care.

Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
