Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a Medical Director to join their state-of-the-art, AAHA-accredited facility. This multi-doctor practice delivers high-quality care for cats and dogs in a collaborative and supportive environment. The hospital is looking for a leader who can balance clinical excellence with mentorship and team development as they join as the fourth doctor on the team.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM and on Saturdays from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM. It is closed on Sundays. The schedule offers flexibility to support work-life balance.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will be responsible for delivering comprehensive general practice services including wellness and preventative care, surgery, dentistry, and pain management. In addition to clinical responsibilities, this role includes leadership duties focused on maintaining a high standard of care, supporting team development, and contributing to the hospital’s positive culture and operational success.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
