Our client is a small animal hospital in Supply, North Carolina, seeking a Medical Lead Veterinarian to join their established and well-regarded team. This 6-doctor hospital has proudly served the community since 1976 and continues to provide high-quality, compassionate care to pets and their families. Conveniently located near Wilmington and close to the beaches, the hospital offers the perfect mix of career satisfaction and coastal living.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with Sundays closed. The role is full-time, with a strong emphasis on work-life balance supported by an efficient, well-trained team.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Lead Veterinarian will oversee the delivery of excellent clinical care while fostering strong client relationships and supporting team development. Responsibilities include managing day-to-day clinical practices, mentoring associate doctors, and assisting with hospital financial performance. Clinical duties involve wellness and illness exams, surgery, dentistry, and client education, with a strong focus on preventative care. This position requires an experienced veterinarian with proven leadership skills who can effectively guide the team while practicing the highest standard of medicine.

The hospital is well-equipped with modern diagnostic and treatment tools, including digital dental radiography, ultrasound, and in-house laboratory capabilities. Services provided include wellness and preventive care, diagnostics, surgery, cardiology, endocrinology, oncology, ophthalmology, and orthopedics. Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
