Our client is a leading veterinary hospital seeking a skilled and motivated Emergency Veterinarian to join their expanding team. This position offers the opportunity to work in a large, advanced facility that provides both referral and emergency services. With increasing caseloads in internal medicine and surgery, this role provides a rewarding and dynamic environment for clinicians passionate about delivering exceptional patient care.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position within a 24/7 emergency and specialty hospital. The schedule includes coverage across day, evening, or overnight shifts to ensure continuous emergency service. Weekend and holiday rotations are shared among the emergency team, supported by experienced specialists and technicians to promote a balanced and collaborative workflow.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Emergency Veterinarian will provide urgent and critical care, stabilize patients, and collaborate with specialists across multiple disciplines to deliver comprehensive treatment. Daily responsibilities include performing diagnostics, interpreting imaging, and managing complex emergency cases with the support of a skilled team. The position is open to veterinarians of all experience levels, including new graduates seeking mentorship in a high-quality emergency care environment.

Practice Details
The hospital operates within a 36,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility offering full referral and emergency services. It features a dedicated ICU designed for optimal efficiency and patient comfort, including isolation wards for respiratory and gastrointestinal cases, oxygen cages, quiet runs, and extensive kennel space. The hospital is equipped with cutting-edge technology, including endoscopy, digital radiography, ultrasound, CT, MRI, laparoscopy, fluoroscopy, mechanical ventilation, telemetry, and advanced monitoring systems. The environment fosters collaboration and continued learning, with ample office space for focused clinical work and documentation.

Team
The hospital’s medical team includes 20 ER DVMs and 22 veterinary specialists, supported by a highly trained technical staff. The culture promotes teamwork, shared expertise, and a strong commitment to delivering outstanding emergency and specialty care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
