Our client is a multi-specialty emergency and referral hospital in Knoxville, Tennessee, seeking a dedicated Emergency Veterinarian to join their established team. Working Hours / Rota
The emergency veterinarian role is typically structured as three to four shifts per week, including a rotation of nights and weekends. A minimum average of 33 hours per week is required to be considered full-time. Scheduling is flexible and designed to support work-life balance while maintaining comprehensive emergency coverage.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Emergency Veterinarian will manage urgent and critical cases, performing diagnostics, developing treatment plans, and working closely with other specialists to deliver high-quality care. Clinical responsibilities include triage, emergency medicine, stabilization, critical care, and collaboration with surgery, oncology, anesthesia, and internal medicine services. This role is open to both experienced emergency veterinarians and new graduates who will benefit from structured mentorship.

Practice Details
The hospital is AAHA-accredited and equipped with cutting-edge technology, including a 16-slice CT scanner, digital radiography, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, endoscopy, advanced surgical suites, and a wide range of specialty instrumentation such as laser and laparoscopic equipment. A 20,000-square-foot specialty expansion is underway for 2025, which will include MRI, additional CT, neurology, cardiology, and a linear accelerator. Team
The emergency team works alongside board-certified specialists in surgery, oncology, internal medicine, and critical care. The hospital employs more than 20 Licensed Veterinary Technicians, veterinary assistants, and support staff, all dedicated to supporting the DVMs in delivering exceptional patient care. Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
