Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a full-service veterinary hospital in Florida offering 24/7 emergency care. They are hiring for a full-time Emergency Veterinarian to join their dedicated team. The practice provides comprehensive care for cats and dogs, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality emergency medicine alongside preventative, diagnostic, and holistic services. This position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. This is a full-time position, with scheduling to be discussed based on availability.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The role involves managing a diverse emergency caseload including accidents and injuries, poisoning, seizures, difficulty breathing, allergic reactions, and ingestion of foreign objects. Additional clinical responsibilities include surgical services, diagnostic care, dental services, rehabilitation, pain management, and end-of-life care. The position also covers routine wellness and preventative care, internal medicine, senior pet care, and holistic approaches such as acupuncture. This position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Practice Details
The hospital is a modern facility offering advanced services such as ultrasound, a hyperbaric center, rehabilitation, acupuncture, and comprehensive diagnostic care. Services include wellness and preventative care, internal medicine, dentistry, dermatology, senior pet care, end-of-life care, grooming, nutrition, and medications. The practice emphasizes accessibility and quality, with emergency services available 24/7/365.

Team
The hospital has six DVMs supported by a tenured and highly skilled support team. The environment is collaborative, patient-centered, and focused on providing both exceptional emergency and general veterinary care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
