Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hybrid general practice, emergency, and specialty hospital hiring for an Associate Veterinarian. The clinic provides comprehensive care for cats and dogs, offering the opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary setting alongside emergency and specialty services.
Working Hours / Rota
The role offers flexibility with full-time or part-time options available, with rotating weekend coverage required.
Role Description and Responsibilities
This position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates. Responsibilities include delivering general practice care such as wellness and preventative services, diagnostics, dentistry, and surgery, while working closely with emergency and specialty teams to support continuity of care. The role also involves maintaining strong client communication, managing cases through treatment, and contributing to a collaborative clinical environment with dedicated mentorship available.
Practice Details
The hospital is an AAHA-accredited and VECCS-certified facility, reflecting high standards in both general practice and emergency and critical care. It offers a wide range of advanced and primary care services including CT scans, MRI, endoscopy, echocardiography, digital radiology, ultrasound, cardiology, dermatology, internal medicine, intensive care, orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, oxygen and transfusion therapy, and physical rehabilitation. Additional services include dental care with dental X-rays, in-house laboratory and pharmacy, surgical suite, hospitalization, emergency care, wellness services, and routine surgeries. The practice supports a hands-free approach and provides a strong doctor-to-support-staff ratio within a collaborative environment.
Team
The team consists of 7 DVMs supported by a great tenured support team, creating a collaborative and well-supported working environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
