Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a practice hiring an Associate Veterinarian to join a general practice providing care to dogs and cats. The clinic is seeking an experienced veterinarian who is passionate about delivering high-quality medicine within a collaborative, client-focused environment. The position offers flexibility with both full-time and part-time options available.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The role involves a range of clinical responsibilities including wellness exams, vaccinations, dentistry, diagnostics, imaging, soft tissue surgery, orthopedic surgery, and dermatology. The position requires managing a daily caseload of approximately 14–16 appointments per DVM while delivering thorough, high-quality care. Additional responsibilities include client communication, treatment planning, and collaborating closely with the team to ensure excellent patient outcomes. This role is suited to experienced veterinarians.
Practice Details
Our client is a general practice offering a mix of wellness care, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, and dermatology services. The clinic operates with a high-volume caseload and is equipped with ultrasound and radiology to support diagnostics and imaging. The culture is collaborative and client-focused, supported by a strong technician team with a 2:1 support staff ratio. Services include wellness care and exams, vaccinations, dental care, diagnostics and imaging, allergies and dermatology, pet surgery, and nutrition and diet counseling. Hospital opening hours are Monday 8:00 am–5:00 pm, Tuesday 8:00 am–7:00 pm, Wednesday to Thursday 8:00 am–5:00 pm, Friday 8:00 am–6:00 pm, and every other Saturday 8:00 am–2:00 pm.
Team
The team consists of 4 DVMs supported by a great tenured support team. The environment is collaborative, high-volume, and team-focused, with strong technician support allowing veterinarians to focus on delivering high-quality care.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
