Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a dedicated full-service animal hospital that is hiring for a full-time Associate Veterinarian. The hospital sees dogs, cats, rabbits, pocket pets, reptiles, birds, and small farm animals while providing both urgent care services and preventative wellness care to the local community. This high-volume hospital is dedicated to comprehensive veterinary medicine, handling both urgent presentations and scheduled wellness appointments alongside medical, surgical, and dental cases within a collaborative and fast-paced clinical environment.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role involves a full scope of general practice and urgent care responsibilities across a diverse caseload of companion animals and exotic species. The successful candidate will manage both scheduled wellness appointments and urgent care cases while delivering high-quality diagnostics, treatment planning, surgery, dentistry, and client communication. Specific doctor hours will be discussed. This opportunity is open to both experienced veterinarians and newer graduates. Leadership is committed to supporting veterinarians in achieving their professional goals by providing the mentorship, resources, and ongoing guidance needed for long-term success. The successful candidate will work directly under the guidance of the hospital’s Medical Director, who is a board-certified Emergency and Critical Care Specialist (DACVECC), creating an exceptional environment for clinical development and mentorship.

Practice Details
The hospital operates Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 8:00am to 6:00pm, and Wednesday from 8:00am to 4:00pm. The practice is a well-equipped hospital designed to support comprehensive veterinary medicine across both urgent care and general practice services. Services offered include urgent care alongside a full scope of general practice services for a broad range of species and case types. In addition, the hospital also provides low-level laser therapy, supporting a comprehensive and patient-focused approach to treatment and recovery.

Team
The practice is home to a team of four veterinarians supported by a collaborative and highly structured support staff. The hospital maintains a minimum 2:1 technician-to-doctor ratio, ensuring veterinarians are well supported in delivering high-quality patient care. The collaborative culture across the hospital encourages teamwork, communication, and shared clinical excellence, creating an environment focused on providing seamless and compassionate care to both patients and clients.
