Job Description

Introduction

We are actively recruiting, on behalf of our clients, for veterinarians across Huntsville in a broad range of disciplines including General Practice, Urgent Care, Emergency, and Specialty medicine. These hospitals will serve a variety of species, including small animal, large animal, exotic, and avian patients, offering a caseload to fit your desires.

Working hours / Rota

We represent hospitals offering both full-time and part-time permanent employment opportunities. While schedules vary by facility, General Practice positions commonly consist of four daytime shifts per week. Urgent Care roles typically include three to four shifts per week, some requiring extended evening hours. Emergency positions often comprise of three 12-hour shifts, which may include overnight work. Specialty roles offer flexible scheduling.

Role Description and responsibilities

The responsibilities associated with these positions encompass the full scope of veterinary practice. Depending on the specific area of medicine, duties may include, but are not limited to, wellness and preventive care, diagnostics, dermatology, routine surgical and advanced surgical procedures, dentistry, client communication and education, emergency, urgent care, and integrative or eastern medicine approaches.

Practice details

We work with a wide range of hospitals, each offering distinct features and operational styles. Many facilities are equipped with advanced technology, such as digital radiography, digital dental radiography, ultrasound, cold laser therapy, surgical laser, endoscopy, fluoroscopy, CT imaging, in-house laboratory equipment, and modern examination suites. Several hospitals also maintain recognized accreditations or certifications, including AAHA Accreditation, Fear Free Certification, and Cat Friendly Certification.

Team

The size and structure of the veterinary teams vary across hospitals, ranging from single-doctor practices to large, multi-doctor groups. Regardless of size, each practice is supported by a dedicated team of credentialed veterinary technicians (RVTs/CVTs/LVTs), veterinary assistants, client service representatives, and an experienced practice manager.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
